Engine cuts out

When I am traveling around 52mph my engine starts to cut out until I get to about 55mph. It only does this when I am travelingsteady at around 52mph. It never does it when accelerating thru 50-55mph. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a miss fire. Have you checked the spark plugs and or wires, a fuel filter and some quality injector cleaner might not be a bad idea as well. I use Amsoil P.I. or Chevron Techron cleaner in mine.

I have tried injector cleaner and a new fuel filter and it still does it. I'll check the others later. Thanks

Could it be your torque converter going into lockup? Try and lightly apply the brake pedal just enough to make the brake lights come on at the speed you notice the misfire. That will disengage the lock up converter. If the problem goes away then you know it's just the converter going into lockup and nothing to worry about. If it is missing you should have a misfire code stored in the ECM and getting the truck scanned will point you to what cylinder is the culprit.

Not the torque coverter. I'll take it in to have it scanned.
