E or SL load range tires for H3X?
Pretty sure I'm going to get General Grabber AT2 tires for my H3X. Am considering two options:
1. LT275/70R18 33.2", E rated, max PSI 80lbs or 2. 265/70R18 32.6", SL rated, max PSI 44lbs I do about 99% highway driving and my main concerns are ride comfort, MPG, and road noise. I thought I wanted a 33" tire, but am thinking the .6" difference in these two tires would be near trivial. There is also a warranty on the SL rated tire (and not on the LT). Which would you go with? |
Since it's a truck, I'd go with the Light Truck tire (LT)...but that's just me.

My girlfriend and I just went trough this.
LT is what we chose. Previously had SL. They suckered azz big time. Way rubbery, squishy sidewalls and shimy. We chose Nokain Rotiiva AT LT265/75R16. Low rolling resistance, snow flake mountain symbol, 10ply AT... They are sweet.... We bought them for Jeep Cherokee too. All this in one month. |
I concur with my two previous posters
SL will have a more soft side wall and braking, steering and handling will be different than LT tires That 80 PSI is not the pressure you run with on the road |
