DRL Mod
Was there ever one posted for the H3? The previous owner of my '09 may have done something to mine because the parking lamps are enabled as DRL's instead of the headlamps. I really don't care which lamps are used but it's driving me crazy that my factory navigation system's day/night display mode is switched by the DRL circuit instead of the auto headlamp function.
If there was a mod, I'd rather just undo it than start dinking around with the dashboard illumination circuit on my truck to make it work correctly.
Thanks

On the 06's for sure and I think the early 07's the parking light are your DRL's. Your 09 it should be your low beams. Until you track it down just disable the DRL's by turning your headlight switch counter clockwise upon ignition. On Canadian versions the DRL's can not be defeated. But that shouldn't effect your Nav and the fact the parking lights are your DRL's. The factory Nav being dim during daylight would be annoying. Good Luck.

I have an 07 and the headlights were the DRL's and I too didn't like them on.
You just pull fuse #37 and the DRL's are disconnected and the headlights operate the same way as before.
The headlights will come on in low light situations, no getting around that, I tried.
