door locking by its self
drivers side front door locks on its own for no reason .the other three dont unless i lock them. it dont matter if the engine is running or not and it doesn't do it all the time. i have been locked out many times and opened the back door to unlock the drivers door . anyone else ever had that happen to them.

RE: door locking by its self
The default setting for an auto trans is: all supposed to lock when you shift into gear, unlock when you park. I do not have time to check the manual to see if you can program that differently. ;);) But you could and let us know. ;);) Locks are controlled by the BCM, youmay have to have the dealer scan and check.

You can program the locks just to unlock the driver's side door only, but this sounds like there's a problem with the BCM.

RE: door locking by its self
I've had my driver's door lock on me a couple of times. At first I thought something was wrong, the third time it happened I noticed I accidently brushed the lock tab when I was getting out. I happened to look down as it happened, I didn't even realize doing it. It's not hard to do if you're not noticing. Having said that, it's possible to do so with the power on or off.
Since I discovered I could accidentally lock the door by brushing against the lock I've not had it happen in over 6 or 8 months. I wonder if this is your case too. It could be something wrong or it could be as simple as my issue. |
RE: door locking by its self
ok. heres an example of what/how it can happen---stop truck put in park all locks unlock ,open drivers side door get out of truck ,makeing sure not to touch any bottons upon exit, close door and check to see if door will openagain .it will . walk across road ,open gate ,come back to truck--door locked ,open back drivers side door and unlock drivers door. it dont do this all the time so i lower window now just in case

RE: door locking by its self
Sounds like a trip to the dealer. Haven't had that issue. I have had actuators go out and cause some doors to lock and unlock but always at the push of the drivers door lock button, not on their own. My H1 Alpha did come from the factory set up where when I pushed the master lock button on the console all the doors locked and the barn doors unlocked. When I unlocked the doors with the main unlock button all doors unlocked except the barn doors which then locked. Dealer said the plug was connected backwards on the barndoors and it took them about 5 minutes to correct it. Close as I can come to your issue.

RE: door locking by its self
Weird - I have had this exact thing happen to me several times the last few weeks and I thought it was me brushing against the lock getting out but I tried the same experiment and it was locked. Must be a bug in the system.
