Door lights replacement

Hi All

I have purchased some LED replacements for the interior lights of my H2.

The map lights and the ceiling lights were an easy swap out.

The door lights are an issue.

The LED lights do not fit into the end opening of the light housing. My only choice seems to be to remove the clear lens from the plastic housing but I cannot seem to get them separated and I am wondering if there is a trick to getting the clear lens off of the housing or are they glued together?

I hope the pictures help to show what I am trying to explain and I hope someone has a solution for me.

Thanks in advance

J.Carroll

Where did you find led replacements at?

Automotive LED Lighting | Fyre Flys

My Hummer is black so I bought the blue ones

I fired them off an email about my situation, lets see how their customer service is.

So I found out that the clear lens is in fact glued to the housing.

With a box cutter I was able to get teh lens off with minimal cracking.

On the next nice day I will finish installing the LEDs and post a pic because so far it looks awesome.

I'd file the plastic housing hole to make it bigger , once I got with led I will never come back to yellow light ... btw do not buy Ebay led , they all are crap , I got the whole package 3 time and only last a couple month .

I bought the same kit and had the same issue with the door lenses. I used a rat tail file and opened up the top and bottom of the opening being careful not to bother the sides where the plug snaps in. Hope this helps
