Door chimes, onstar, pac os-2bose, pac cm-1, rear view camera install suggestion
I just want to tell everyone that the pioneer avic-z1 with bluetooth and ipod works great!!! I have been using the bluetooth all day, it sounds clear, and the ipod part of it is the best thing. Now i don't have to cd's anymore.
The only thing that i dont like is the dashboard installation kit they used, it leaves a gap at the bottom of the panel and the top looks like it is bending a little, does anyone have a suggestion on which kit would fit flush? I also installed a pac os-2bose with a pac cm-1 to keep the onstar and door chimes, when i activate the onstar i get this bad static and engine noise, and i dont have any seatbelt chimes, can anyone help with that? I aslo am instaiing a rear view camera 2morrow i dont have a hitch so any suggestion sor pics to give me any ideas?
Thanks

For the installation kit try the Scosche GM1594. It was designed for GM and the H3. I installed a double din nav. unit so I had to make my own install kit. Therefore, I have no personal experience with this Kit. However, I have always had successes with Scosche installation Kits.
As for the camera, I have seen them tucked into the spare tire & rim on the inside bottom of the rim. Only problem is, what do you do with the camera if you need the spare. Another option is to mount camera under the bumper where the hitch receiver would be. The lens is a wide angle lens and should be able to pick up plenty down that low. Not to mention the car is tall enough as it is. Good luck and hope it helped. Nothing is worst than a messy install!!!

Hey Tulane,
Thanks for the advice! I actually got the camera installed today, they mounted it right above my license plate in the plastic on the bumper, looks pretty clean. The camera is terrible though, do u reccomend any decent cameras?
