does anyone know how to properly remove the original hoodvent because i have to put my new chrome hood vent on top of it. thanks

 

it has clips all around the edges , it just pops on ,, were i work ,,we make them for GM

 

Yep, just give it a good steady tug and off it comes.

 

haha COOL! nice hummer image there! So yeah I bought a chrome hood vent so i wanted to attached it to the original hood vent thats why I wanted to know how to remove the vent from the hood because the chrome cover that i bought woth sit flat on the original vent. any suggestions? thanks.

 

I used rubber mallet on clips, tapping around all of them gradually till the hood cover came out evenly.

That was the instructions received on the stainless steel trim overlay kit I purchased.
