Now coming from me this is kinda of ironic, since I don't off road
But The Adventure package you get beefier suspension, a Locking rear Differential, a 4:1 transfer case (higher ratio)..IMO I'd go for the Adventure package and it will help in holding the resale value too.

If you are planning to off road with it on occasion, YES, get thet adventure package. The rear locker will really help you in a difficult situation where you need that extra push to get through something.
I do quite a bit of off roading and I got the base...it's all in your driving ability really. I guarentee you that I can go places in a base that some couldn't go with an adventure. If I decide to keep the h3 then I'll put in my own locking diff and save a lot of cash.
BTW...Dennis keeps forgetting that the adventure and the base have THE SAME SUSPENSION!!!!!!! Only thing that is different is the shocks, all other suspension components are EXACT

It'll help the resale down the road, but you won't get all the extra cost back. If you're not into serious 4x4 trails where the locker is useful and if its just a cost issue, I suggest you pass on the Adventure Pkg.
Since you will drive mainly on the street, test drive both versions on the road to see which one you like better. Depending on how involved you get with off-roading, you will upgrade parts as needed later based on the trails that you like to run anyway. Don't forget that the upgrade process is part of the fun of the hobby.
If you ever intend to tow, make sure you get the tow hitch from the factory. The OEM hitch is much better than the aftermarket ones but it is a pain to install later because it's more expensive and requires cutting the rear bumper to fit.
Good luck!

I don't think that I would get it. Well in fact I didn't. I could not personally justify the extra expendature since I don't go off road.

IMO, I would get it...............just in case
And what I said about resale..Was not so much about getting top dollar for it, if you were to sell it later on...But the fact that it has Off road SHOCKS, Locking rear end and the low speed transfer case with larger 285 tires too..all these extra features will help resell it for you easier on appeal factor.
