Diesel H3 for Australian market?
 

I know there's been a few topics on this but none say anything about a diesel H3 for the Australian market its release has only just been announced here and we wont start to see a steady supply of them till after the first quarter of 2008... does anyone know if this is going to happen? Apparently they are doing one for south africa so I cant see why they won't do one for us as our cars are RHD too.... Diesel is big here on the 4wd scene...... although I can see about 99% of H3's that will get sold here will never see a dirt road in their life... If I know a diesel is coming I'll hold off till its release!

It would sound right with a nice 5/6 cyl turbodiesel instead of this buzzy-sounding I-5..

This is theonly 'official' word I've seen regardingadiesel for the H3 fpr the European Market

"The HUMMER H3 is powered by the GM Vortec 3.7 litre, inline five-cylinder engine. It delivers 180 kW (244 hp) at 5,600 rpm and 328 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm. An optional diesel engine will be added to the H3 at a later date. The H3 offers, as the first Hummer ever, the choice of a manual or an automatic transmission."
