Did you buy an H3 with a Manual Transmission?
I am looking for those of you who might have a similar problem to mine... If you purchased a 2006 H3, please read this!!!
I am having a problem with my H3: On occasion when I push in the clutch the engine revs up to around 2500 RPM instead of the engine dropping off in RPM.
I purchased it at Lynch Hummer in January of '06...

If you are having a simmilar issue, or know of anyone who is, PLEASE contact me! lectric_2000@hotmail.com is my email.
From what Lynch tells me, GM will not fix the issue until enough cases are reported.. As they feel it is not a problem....? HUHhh?
At the LEAST it is an EXTREME embarrasment to have this happen... ESPECIALLY in places like a drive thru, at a stop light, or when comuting with friends.. ALL have happened to me and many more....
If you have any advise I am all ears!!

Believe it or not, that was my first thought.. I have large feet and thought that I was simply getting hung on the pedal.... No such luck... GM IS aware of the issue.. Hope they will wake up..
Thanks for the humor though!!
tps, throttle position sensor...heres what it does:
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
The throttle position sensor responds to the accelerator pedal movement. This sensor is a kind of potentiometer that transforms the throttle position into output voltage, and emits the voltage signal to the ECM. In addition, the sensor detects the opening and closing speed of the throttle valve and feeds the voltage signal to the ECM. The ECM receiving the signal from the throttle position sensor determines idle position of the throttle valve. This sensor controls engine operation such as fuel cut. On the other hand, the "Wide open and closed throttle position switch", which is built into the throttle position sensor unit, is not used for engine control.

Well, they are evidently not looking into that. You have to understand, there is absolutely no pattern to the reving that I have noticed..
What it APPEARS to be doing is readjusting the computer to compensate for driving condition changes.. Possibly a change from Hwy to city driving and such.. It may not happen again for a week.. maybe 2.. Or it may happen 2 days in a row.. I have started logging the occurences on a note pad that I keep in the glovebox...
that sucks, nothing worse than troubleshooting intermittent (sp) problems. The tps does communicate with the computer (ECM) so it could be sending it a faulty throttle position signal once in awhile and that would set the idle. But if GM knows about it I guesss they know what the problem is already? If they told you this and you docummented that it is happening I don't understand how they can deny you a repair under your warrenty. If thats the case I would call GM or see a different dealer maybe.
Good luck with it!
Good luck with it!
Thanks.. And I agree. Why can't they just fix the problem? Are they THAT narrow minded to say that not enough people have reported the issue?? Gezzz...
I have been an avid Chevy/GM driver for MANY years... I thought the Hummer would be my ultimate ride.... At this point I am feeling that I bought a lemon.....
I am having the same issue.
I though at first that I might be touching the gas peddle, but I have been really careful to make sure my foot is all the way off.
It seems to be worse when the enigne is cold.
