Default Cleaning Black Cloth

I have an 2008 H3 with black cloth interior. I have noticed that when the seats get wet, just damp even, there seems to be water spots when it dries. Also seem to have a white "dusty" appearance in sections of the seats. Anyone else experiencing this problem? What would you suggest for cleaning the seats that won't further the staining? (I am starting to regret not getting leather this time around )

How or why are your seats getting wet? Did you buy your H3 used? If so, i'm wondering if the previous owner sprayed the seats with Scotchguard. That might make the water bead up causing white spots. I clean my interior (all of it) with a clean towel and hot water.

The seats get water drops on them from things such as having rain sprinkles on clothing and getting in, and one day it started to sprinkle, and before I shut my sunroof, a couple of drops came in on the passenger seat. It seems that the spots that were once exposed to moisture are the ones that seem to be getting the "dusty" appearance too. I was thinking of trying to use water and a towel and wipe down all of my seats so that it was consistant, but if the dusty appearance and water are some how correlated, I would hate to have a completely dusty looking interior.

And yes, I did buy it used.

i had my 07 since new and in 3 years i never did get rid of it. i tried wiping them down... i eventually planned on stripping the covers off and trying to hand wash the powder out of them. i'm surprised nobody else has chimed in. i don't have this issue on my alpha now as it has leather seats.

I have that issue as well. I used blue coral carpet cleaner on my back seat after it got a little spot in it and it took it right out. I have been too lazy though to try my front seats.
