Cheap Rims and Tires
Im allowed to get a set of rims and tires for H. The big deal is my old lady swears that I can find rims and tires under $1500. I was looking at 17 inch Prop Comps with Nitto trail Grapplers. They came out to be $1616. If there are any sites out there that have a set for $1500 or under please let me know. Im not set on any rim. Tires I would like to get the Nitto Trails.

I went with the H3t black steel rims, they are about a 100 buck a pop and look great on the truck. The tires I went with are 35" Fierce Attitude M/T, not only are they priced right but the rip it up! Also they are very quiet on the highway, not much louder then stock. I got four tires and rims for 1400 bucks but one more tire and rim will put me in 1600 range.

So I got a good deal on rims and tires. Under the $1500 mark. I got Vision warrior gloss black wheel with 295/70 R17 Nitto Terra Grappler. I know I wanted the Trails but they didnt have them in stock. They should be in the end of the week. Ill post some pics when they are on.

Personally, I like the OEM rims, and would buy real tires made in the USA, not some foreign junk.
Like Mickey Thompson or Coopers, but hey that's just me, more concerned about good quality products made by American companies, in America, than getting some cheap tires that "look cool" to save a buck. |
Thanks for your personal input but i'm going where my pocket takes me what I like. I didnt know non american tires are "fake".

I've had issues with in the past were goodyears. those problems were car tires though, I probably would of bought the duratracs if I wasn't trying to save a buck. but I plan on getting 17" rims and upgrading to 35" tires so I didn't wanna spend alot of money for a set I'll most likely sell. Everybody has there own story, I say do what you like and what works best for you...not the forum. Post some pics of the new setup, should look sweet! |
