center caps question
Do most H3 owners that off road their trucksdo so with or without the center caps on?? I mean deep mud/water sand etc. I'm concerned with losing them after spending good cash for the paint to match the wheels. Is this common?

RE: center caps question
I wheel with two H3's.... one takes his off because he lost one.... one doesn't because he never has....
The choice is yours... they do come off very easily... |
RE: center caps question
Mine are off all the time except for the spare.

RE: center caps question
I would be the one he is refering to that takes them off. Lost one in the winter in the snow don't want to do it again.Better safe than sorry.

RE: center caps question
Thanks for the input guys, i had intended to take them off anyway but seem to see 95% of all the videos with them on. I thought there might be a just cause for this.

RE: center caps question
Us H3 owners that don't just haven't lost one yet . . .
I always forget to do it anyways. |
RE: center caps question
Yep, they are off when wheelin', at least most of the time. Lost two so far, they've been $15-$30 on ebay to replace

RE: center caps question
Haven't taken them off yet, but I may on Memorial Day. Haven't had my H3 on a "real" trail yet. Only mud so far and a few Wilderness area roads.

RE: center caps question
If you want to keep them on then just put a litttle RTV on the clips. It holds just enough to keep them in place but not enough that you can't pull them off when needed. BTW... RTV is how NASCAR holds those lug nuts on the wheel so the tire changer can ram them on fast.
