car dies while driving now starter not engaging flywheel
 

has this happen to you?
I was pulling up to the drive thru Mcdonalds. maybe going 5kms...and the trucks dies. Try restarting and the starter is not engaging the fly wheel. just spins....
I've see a lot of threads will anti theft issues with car not starting But I dont think this is the case... Starter spins free... what happened?
2010 H3 base..

Bad starter solenoid. Replace starter.

I tried to follow the kiss basics....

Pull the starter and verify it is the problem. Don't buy a cheapo Chinese one.:D

Thanks all Turns out my Cam sensor went on me. I was going at least 5kms when the engine turn off. Do you think there was damage to my engine?
