If you don't want to hack your wiring, try this tutorial.
I installed a 3.5mm aux plug in-line between the radio and xm. I just select XM on the radio, plug the 3.5mm audio cable connected to any external music player. It automatically interrupt the XM signal and reroute to the external player. I just unplug the cable if I want to listen to XM. Hope this helps! Attachment 11737 Attachment 11738 |

iSimple gateway ISGM575.
Have it in both HUMMERs. I've had one of them since 2009. Easy plug and play once the center stalk cover and radio is removed |
now if we could only add bluetooth to it also,
|
iSimple has a hookup for that also. Go on the website and get the tech line ph#. Give them a call.
Very helpful customer service. |
i called them today and they told me that the iSimple won't work if i've got the Monsoon system ,, but i thought all Nav H3's had that option if they had the factory Nav installed

You could get
H3 Quick n? Simple Auxiliary In | Schwarttzy and
Amazon.com: Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit for Cars with Aux Input Jack (3.5 mm) - supports aptX: Cell Phones & Accessories
I use bluetooth, you could eliminate the Kinovo and just use the aux however with the above setup I got: Handfree telephone Streaming music apps of the phone (local mp3, TuneIn Radio, Pandora, etc) Spoken navigation (great with WAZE..."Police reported ahead") This works for both h3's and h2's |
i think i'm just going to replace my head unit with a new one that has everything i need
