A/C cold enough?
I had to take my new H3 into the shop for the a/c because it wasn't getting cold. They checked everything out and said that all is well that I needed to only run the a/c with the recirculation button on. Other vehicles that I had didn't need to do this. Is this just the H3? How is everyone's air temp.?
I have the same problem with mine. It takes forever to get cold and even then it doesn't compare to past vehicles I've had. Unfortunately, the dealership is 60 miles away and I haven't had a chance to take it in yet.
There was another thread on here talking about this same problem. Those users said the dealers recharged their system and the problem was solved.

I had the same problem with the A/C. The service manager said to use the recirc button on. But he also suggested I leave it with him. He did a leak down test with to make sure everything was good. They recharged the A/C anyways to make sure. Now, in setting greater than 2 and I have ice coming from the vents. I live in Scottsdale where it has been 100+ degrees for months. Just have them recharge the A/C and you should be fine.
My H3's a/c can freeze us out when its 100 degrees outside. Seems to me that the H3 manual says what recirc is for; removing moisture, quick cool-down. Recirc is not for normal operation. Your dealer's blowing smoke.
I always leave mine in the inside recirc setting. Not that I was told to or anything, just always do. It blows super cold. I was worried about our kids getting too hot when we were looking at the hummer, since it didn't have rear air like our Tahoe did. The first day we had it they were telling us to turn the air down because they were getting cold.
100+ south Texas heat.
Needless to say, we have had zero problems with it so far. But, we are only at about 2500 miles too.

They said they checked for leaks, check for codes (found none) and checked the freon levels(which were fine). He was trying to tell me that because the engine on this vehicle gets hot that you need the recirc. button on to get max a/c. I ran the air with a termometer in the vent and only got 60 degrees at the highest setting. My H3 only has 900 miles on it, think I should try a different dealership?
I use to teach industrial/commercial Refrigeration..But it's all working on the same basic thermal-dynamic principles...Exchange of heat through a mechanical/thermo-chemical process..The standard for the indusry is a 40ºF Evaporator (Inside coils) this should result in while on recirculate, a 50ºF to 55ºF vent temp while on fan speed 3...Mine does.
Now if it is 60ºF or higher at the vents after the system has run awhile, then you have a problem with the charge in some way...it maybe full of refrigerant (R-134a), but if there is air trapped in the system because it was not properly charged, it will reduce the system's capacity dramaticly..It must be vacuumed out (evacuated) then recharged again..I suspect that was the same problem TOPCARBON seemed to have had.
