Buying an H2...
hello guys ... first off wanna thank u guys for helping out... :)
i have a friend of mine, very close friend that i growed up with... he bought 03 hummer h2 before 5 years ago... and i know he's taking very care of it, it has the original paint, not even a scrach! exterior and interior in great shape... the car has 170k mile on it, engine never been rebuilt before, he only has a tranny issue before 1 yr and he rebuild it... color pweter, its SUV... it's need new tires, he eliminate the hydralic system.. i taked the car to checking shop, engine has 73% life in it, and transmission are good, the guy it's have little problem in gear 2 but it will not effect and dont need to be rebuild... other things just like new so he's offering me 14,900$ what u guys think is it a great deal? what i'm gonna do is: put new tires, re-install the hydralic system, conversation the clutch fan to electric fan for more cooling and preformance because it's gets to hot here in my country. so what u think guys? should i do it? |
little problem, i mean he said, it shift little late, i didnt even notice that when i was driving, it feels normal... he said change the transmission oil...
i have a good knowledge with mechanic, car needs new plugs/service... can i do it myself? what should i do to her, its bone stock... |
Sounds like the price is not to bad. If you like it go for it. Sounds like you will put a couple grand into it. It seems like the bottoming out price for the 2003 H2's are around $18,000 - $20,000. I met a guy at BP gas the other night filling up. Has a 2005 H2 with over 250,000 miles and said it has been great.

thank u guys .. :)
nobody answers my question about the electric fan... :) |
My H2 never runs hot even towing my boat in the Kansas summer heat with the stock fan. I wish it was an electric fan but not worth the expense and trouble to change over for me. Congrats on your H2.
