Buying a 2009 H3T: Need Risk Data
I'll be inspecting and test driving a 2009 H3T Alpha later this week and hope to not be assuming too much failure risk in the purchase. I have liked these H3T trucks since that came on the market and plan on selling my 2000 Blazer ZR-2 if the H3T deal works out.
Question:
Is there technical issues or other performance/reliability concerns I should look for while inspecting and test driving this H3T with 43,000 miles.
By the attached photo, it looks mainly street driven. She does not look to have the locking hubs off-road package nor does the dealer list that option.
Thanks for any advice!

Yes, it does look to have the OffRoad Package. If you look at the dash it has a front and rear locker button. You may want to do a lot of research before you step onto the dealer lot to educate yourself about the differences in the H3T models. It is ALWAYS better to know much more about the vehicle you are looking at than the salesman. Don't let them know how much you know either. This is an H3T Alpha OffRoad. It is pretty much fully loaded with sunroof, Rear camera, Nav. etc

Most of the bugs were worked out of the H3/H3T platform by 2009 even though it was the first model year for the T. Basically the same as the H3. Treat it as if were any used purchase. If you don't have the knowledge yourself, find a mechanic you trust to go over it with a fine tooth comb. As Tainter said, educate yourself. Just the fact that you mentioned locking hubs indicates you need to do a little research. You can find all the answers on this forum. Good Luck.
