broke speedometer
I got into my H2 this morning and my speedometer was broke, but that is it. The tachometer, odometer, and all the other gauges still work. The speedometer reads over 120mph. I have checked all visible fuses and plugs but everything looks fine. Someone give me some advice please.

cable broke unless you where going 120 and it got stuck;)

RE: broke speedometer
My advise would be to see your dealer. Odds are your ABS doesn't work either, or it is just a faulty gauge. At any rate, the dealer would be the best place to start on something like that.

RE: broke speedometer
I am experiencing the same problem you had with your speedometer. I was wondering what you were able to find out about this issue. Did it affect the ABS brakes at all. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

RE: broke speedometer
if the hummers have them it would be the vehicle speed sensor i deal with these sensors in the taxi business all the time it could be located almost anywhere also is it keeping track of the miles you put on or is it stopped?

Does the speedometer still move when you accelerate?
I had the same problem with my speedometer. This led to problems with ABS and power steering. I eventually reset itself. Soon after, the shaft in the power steering/braking pump sheared off. Cost $700.00 to replace. The problem happened again yesterday. I'm looking to try and reset the on board computer system. Any thoughts? |
