Well after catching my breath from laughing- after reading the "creaking noise from front end" post, I have a legit question regarding creaking sounds. My break pedal creaks while depressing it, anyone know where to shoot some WD40, or the like? Its driving me crazy.

Errr, lets make that BRAKE pedal! Hahaha

 

Easy fix. I had the same problem. Spray a silicone lubricant directly where the brake pedal bar connects to your firewall. Also spray directly behind the pedal. Depress the pedal a couple times and the noise will be gone.

 

+spray the spring, mine starts that every couple months.

I got an even better one mine makes a hissing sound. Like it's blowing air

 

I have had an 06 and 08 and now a 10 and all 3 have made that same hissing sound. I would say it is common.

 

That would be the booster engaging and it IS normal.

 

drtom, You had not heard the brake booster pump until I brought it to your attention. Maybe this case is similar. More of a slight "whosh" sound than an air leaking sound. Like fluid moving. As I stated, all 3 of mine have done it. The 10 had the master cylinder replaced under warranty (not because of the whosh sound..it would gradually lose pedal on an incline) and it's replacement makes the same sound. Again, all were very slight, but there.

 

,,,,,,RIGHT,,it is soo hard to hear,i did it with the engine off to help prove the point. i can barely hear it,eng off. impossible with eng on . maybe some of these guys have vacume assist mounted with non metric english bolts,,,all from same "old"era!!
