Default Bouncy Hummer?

Hey all,

Just bought a used2006 H3 and I like it allot! One question I have is that I find the suspension bouncy.. like one of the wheels bounces like a basketball when I hit small holes in the road at med-high speeds? Is this typical or is this as simple as one of my shocks is defective?

Any feedback?

Thank you!

Perhaps you can take another H3 for a ride for a comparison. I'd say the bouncing is not normal. My H3 rides very firm, a feature that helped me decide to go ahead and get an H3.
Like you say, maybe a shock.

Thank you for the replies!

I'll book an appointment with my local Hummer dealer. I just wanted feedback from other H3 drivers before I head into the dealer with some weird perhaps un-founded problem. There is also a few other issues with the H3 I need them to look at... for example, the light for low 4wd flickers and never stops, so I worry even driving it in low 4wd.Plus my rear wiper doesn't function.

cheers,
Bungle.

The bouncy part doesnt sound right at all, H3 is a pretty stiff ride I had a problem with the rear wiper as well..... if I remember right some part got rusted and it was fixed under warranty.

Thank you for the welcome greeting! I'm one of you now!!

The tire pressure looks good visually and nothing comes up in the dash? I'm certainly looking
forward to bringing it in to have it checked out - the ride is just weird? I can feel each pot hole in the street which includes a little basket ball bounce as aftershock!Friday morning I should know more.

As anyone of you installedaftermarket shocks from Rancho or other manufacters?

How do you measure the air pressure visually?
Underinflation yes but overinflation would be hard to spoty visually.

Overinflation could be causingyour bumpy/ bouncy ride.

Try35 psiand see if that makes a difference.
