Wow the air filters for these things are pricey. Where are youbuying your air filters? Mine '03 has 30,000 miles and I am thinking about changing the filter even through the restriction guage is barely registering. Not sure how accurate those are.

 

pricey through the dealer, and K&N doesn't make one that fits. AFE makes a reusable airfilter - prolly around $100 - 120. gets clogged pretty easily though if you're out in the dust a lot.not sure if anyone else makes a reusable one or not. otherwise, you're stuck with the dealership and i think those are ~ $75.

 

I got mine at NAPA.... but it's still in the 70's......

Maybe check Donaldson's website and see if they have any specials....

 

Check ebay. There is one now going for $27. AC-delco.

go for a CAI system or just a CAI filter like me, i got one at auto zone for 50$ and attacheched it to the mass airflow sensor, just removed the old air box. Really easy and quick , and you get some more power out of it
