RE: Battery Light on?

I think the battery is TOAST!!!

GM uses CRAP batteries.

I received 2 new batteries through warranty cause they kept dying before I finally GAVE UP and bought an Optima Yellow Top!! No Probs since!

RE: Battery Light on?

My battery went dead twice within the month or so that I had it.

my h2 is doing exactly the same thing, also sometimes the radio stays on as well, I have to dim the dash lights to keep the battery alive overnight, if you find a cure please share

If the battery stays on when you shut the truck off you WILL have a dead battery in the morning. The most common cause is an igntion switch going bad. They are under $40 and not too hard to replace.

this is the actual key switch you are talking about? got 1 on order

The lights on and electronics acting weird is a key indicator that the battery is going dead. I have a GM battery currently since HUMMER gave me a new one.
I am going to go aftermarket and I would suggest that. Also get that ignition checked.
Something to think about....when my H2 is not being driven, I have it hooked up to a battery tender. It keeps her fresh! =)

There are two parts to the igntion switch, the lock cylinder and key and the electrical switch behind the lock cylinder, You need the electrical switch.

Hello,
Because I have the same issue (battery and dash light on when I turn the ignition off), do you remember your solution ?
Only change the battery or anything else ?...
Thanks in advance.
