Moving a long way, Fl to Mt, and pondering different methods of getting all our stuff and H3 and wifes car there. I was thinking of putting h3 in neutral and bolting a tow bar to it.....they are rated to 5000 lbs. It would be cheaper to drive the car and big truck towing h3 scince Car does alot better on gas......uhaul wants over $1200 for auto trailer one way, vs $100 towbar.....anyone do this? Opinions? thanks guys

 

I have no idea who this guy is, but he showed up at Silver Lake Sand Dunes with this set up, and left that way too.


I've seen others doing the tow behind set up. Read the Owner's Manual, it covers towing with all 4 wheels on the road.

Make sure you put the Transfer Case in neutral and not just the transmission. The directions are in your manual.

 

yeah, thanks....the thin N button in between 4 high n low.....

 

its not a button, there is a sequence in how to get it into neutral i think

 

it looks like a button between the other 2 buttons.....prob is a sequence though...will get out manual tomorrow

 

without lookin,i could be dreaming,but i think the sequence puts everything in neut with the tranny shifter in PARK??
