bad catalytic converter to replace or ditch?

My catalytic converter is bad and since emissions is not required on this thing in Georgia ive thought about just ditching it. Has anyone else gotten rid of there converter and if so any problems? Would my H2 need a new tune or would it run fine without it? Current performance mods are an Airdoc, Flowmaster catback, and Superchips programmer. Also thinking about getting some headers since mine are leaking a little.

Personally speaking from your neighboring state of Mississippi where emissions isnt a big thing either, I plan to "gut" my cats.
Yes you will throw a code, but there are O2 sims that you can get that will plug right in and allow your rig to run right and not have any CELs.

Hope this helps

I would replace it if it was mine.

Thanks guys and I've used 02 sims on a few old Mustangs before so that might be what I do is ditch the cat and use the sims.
