Awesome deals on H3's right now!

I went to one of the local dealerships with my uncle last night because he has been wanting to check out an H3 for himself. We looked at a few and he decided he wanted to drive a grey Alpha with the black/morroco interior. We took it out, and I wanted to drive it to see the difference in the 5.3 V8 and the 3.5 that's in my '06 H3. Needless to say, the V8 has quite a bit more grunt to it. We went back to the dealership and we sit down to talk to the "Hummer Specialist". This particular H3 was pretty much a "zero option" Alpha that stickered for $41,538 if I remember correctly. Well, GM has a $6000 discount on the '08 models plus $1000 loyalty cash plus $500 "auto show" rebate. (We just had our auto show in town a couple of weeks ago.) I asked him about supplier discount, because I am eligible for that through work and he said that drops the price of the vehicle to $38,538. I also have a GM card that GM has graciously upped to $2000 points until Feb 3rd. So a new Alpha would have cost me:
$38,538 Supplier discount
-$ 6,000 GM bonus cash.
-$ 1,000 Loyalty cash.
-$ 500 Auto show cash.
-$ 2,000 GM card cash.
------------------------
$29,038 +TTL
Plus he said he would give me about $2000 over what I owe on my H3 so it would have been roughly $27,000 + TT&L for a brand new H3 Alpha.

Not a bad time to buy if you can afford it.
For the record, I didn't buy. I can't justify almost doubling the payment to get the same vehicle with a V8. (My payment is only $259/month.)

Good God man! That's what I paid for my base H3 last month.

I just bought a leftover 2008 Alpha for $27,900 after all rebates last weekend. We are now a 2 Hummer family. The sticker was $40,600 with sunroof and trailer hitch.

That sounds about right.
I got the $6000 08 rebate.
$500 Car Shwo rebate.
$2,000 additional discount

Also, I ended up getting an additional $1,000 on my trade, I did not expect.
Thats pretty damn good for an Apha!

$8,000 - $9,000 total discount seems to be the norm...

I just got my H3 yesterday. $27,050 - 2009 Chrome wheels , Chrome appearance pkg, Adventure Pkg, Auto, sunroof, frt & rear splashguards. I couldn't believe it. What a nice rig.

Oruna, thats a great deal.
Also, I think the deals are going to get alot better!
Gas prices have and are going up...if you have an iPhone download the "Black Gold" application as it shows fuel prices.
Also, "Gas Cubby" to compute MPG and more, as well as "Cheap Gas" and/or "GasHound" for the lowest price gas...
HOWEVER, in talking to alot of people, it pays to get high quality gas even if you pay more...so I am ignoring my "cheaper" gas programs for the iPhone, and sticking with Shell, Exxon, etc....no discount el cheapo gas that are high in sulfur content!
Hurts MPG and damages engine, fuel gauge, etc....
If I could find gas with no 10% ethanol I would drink it!
That Ethanol corodes.....had a Merecedes Benz tech tell me they replace fuel injectors all the time since 10% ethanol was introduced...burns to hot and too fast!
