Can the automatic tranny shifter be changed ? If so, is it easy or a PITA not worth the effort ?

The wife picked one up okay that looks like a .44 mag cylinder and handed it to me and said "hunny do". .....

 

I had a shifter like that on one of my old rigs. It was the cylinder with 6 .44 rounds in it. You could just see the back side of the rounds with the primer and the rim. I loved that thing. I haven't had our shifter off so I don't know what it entails.

 

Mine looked similar to this

 

Shift lever handle removal requires a 5/32" hex wrench (aka: allen wrench)
Shift lever handle screw is in front of the shifter handle... apply the parking brake, place the shifter in neutral position. GL
