Just wondering what it does and what's the difference between AUTO VOL LOW and HIGH settings?

so that when you are traveling at 70 mph on the highway the radio is the same loudness to your ears as when you are standing still, when you slow down the volumn lowers so that the tone is still the same level for you. no need to adj radio constantly anymore.
