SUTUFF 06-02-2011 04:24 PM

Attention: Tanneau cover seekers!!

Teeka Toys lists a soft canvas, collapsable cover similar to the soft top of a Jeep, that converts the SUT almost into a SUV. This sells for approximately $700. The only problem, the distributor has discontinued it because he will not fabricate them one at a time. I spoke with the gentlman @ Softopper.com (you can view the concept there, and the picture of the actual top and how it fits on Teekatoys.com) and he needs at least 10 or 12 orders to fabricate these. I was hoping, since there are SO many of us searching for our now NON EXISTANT tanneau covers, that maybe, we could get enough of us interested in this item to convince this gentleman to make some of these. I think this would be a good substitue at a reasonable price and would get the value of a using the SUT as a truck and an SUV when we need it! Thanks in advance for your consideration!

Wondering if you found out any further about this I would be interested in one of these.

Considering that SUTUFF was last here over 6 years ago and that is when they posted this I sort of doubt you will get a reply. Replying to ancient posts generally does not get any results.

Got it thanks just looked at the date.

For what its worth - I think they might have been OEM made by Fold-A-Cover (Steffen). When I looked close at a friends H2 SUT the cover was near identical in a LOT of ways to the Fold-A-Cover I have on my GMC pickup.

I've also modified a Fold-A-Cover for a different truck to fit a stepside truck they never made one for by drilling the rivets out of the edging and cutting the width down, then putting it back together and it worked perfect and looked as though the factory made it.
