Attempting to Wire LED Spot Lights under H3 to come on when doors are opened

I ordered an LED lightbar and while I am waiting for it I got some LED spotlights that I have installed under the car between the front and back doors, to create light on the ground. I have run the wire up to the passenger side kick panel and wanted to wire them up to turn on when the doors are opened. Since I read something about a negative signal system I want to wire the positive side up to a hot wire and the negative side to the door jam switch. I pulled the switch and see there is a green wire and a black wire running to the door jam switch.

Which ground wire should I use? Or does anyone have a better way of wiring up the system?

Thanks!

if they are low power you might just tie them to a light that comes on with door opening huh?

Found it

I used the orange hot wire on passenger side and found a black with white stripe wire as the door jam switch ground. Tied in drivers side grey with black stripe wire and the lights come on with any door opened.

Thanks for following up with a useful reply and information. I'm thinking of adding something similar for illuminating the entrance points, primarily because the stepbar is not always obvious in the dark.
