Anyone lowered the rear rather then raised the front?

I have ordered my wheels and tires, 305/45/22, and would like to drop the rear rather then raise the front. I have seen the 1/3" drop kits but I just want to drop the rear 2", any ideas. I have looked at shackles and may give it a shot myself unless anyone has a good alternative.

so here's what I have come up with:

This link shows that the lift shackles fit canyon/colorado/s10/Hummer H3(look under application on the web page)
http://shop.suspensionmax.com/Shop/C...id/0/SFV/32526

if that is true then the last set of shackles(chevy colorado) on this link should work on the H3

wow, no interest here......

I'll update once I see if the drop shackles work, may help someone in the future

I can't imagine anyone cutting their ground clearance. If you want the level look raise the front... I did and love it, soon after I went to 35's and really love it.

The H3 is spring over. You could go with a block and longer u-bolts.

I'm trying to figure out how the 2 inch shackles can "raise or lower" your truck...

The shackle moves the mounting point of the leaf spring either bringing the body down or up depending on the application

I think the gap in the rear between the top of the tires and the fender looks horrible with the 33's. I have 22"s and have no desire to spend $1600 on 35's. I got the 33" Falken's for $650 brand new and there a 50000 mile tire.
Ground clearance isn't an issue when you don't take your truck offroad

Understand if you dont go off road. The 35's fill more of the gap your talking about and I got 35 Coopers for 1,200. mounted balanced and installed. And get compliments all the time on what a good lookin tire they are. 60k plus tire. The guy I bought them from had them on his truck and already had 35k on a set and they still looked 90%

If you just want the body style of an H3 instead of an offroad vehicle just pull some leaves out of the spring pack and really make a low rider out of it for cruising and destroy the purpose of the suspension for it's intended purpose. Your call. I'm not sure there is much room to shorten the shackle and make much difference.

I don't see that cooper makes a 35 for a 22" wheel
