Just sold my wifes 2008 H3 Alpha and are to deliver it to the new owner thursday, I priced it fairly high and he was willing to pay so I had to let go . I feel a slight panic and don't know what to get to replace it so I will probably just go for another Alpha but newer since I canīt figure out any other car as cool and practical in the wintertime.

Is there any difference between the 3 production years?

 

09 and 10 with the Offroad package had a front locker.

 

front locker like 3hummers said, and how much factory warranty is left are the only two things I know of. Both would be important to me if I was in the market to replace mine.

 

Yes.. The newer the better and try to find one with the GM extended warranty.. It has paid for itself twice over with mine.. Plus, that makes GM responsible for replacing hard to find parts..

 

A nice feature I wish my '08 had that's on the '09 & '10 is Bluetooth.

 

The 2010's also can use E85 Flex Fuel. The '08 & '09's cannot.

 

Yep, there are some differences as the above have stated.

09-10 Alphas will have Bluetooth, OffRoad Package will have both front and rear lockers
10 Alphas will have the E85 Flex Fuel 5.3L V8
09.5-10 will also have the "revised" (2nd generation) front diff crossmember that does not have the tab for the UCP to bolt to.

 

'08 & '09 have silver front bumper, '10 went back to black.

 

Wish I had bluetooth
