Am I looking for trouble H2 with air suspension

Hey all. Looking at a 2005 H2 with 23,000 original miles. HAs the Air adjust suspension. The vehicle is being offered for sale from the local HUMMER dealer and they assure me no problems. I have seen several post on here about air suspension problems. What is your opinion?

Thanks

I don't have air suspension and from what I have read on this forum, I'm glad I don't. You will find several threads where the guys are looking to remove the air bags and go to coils. From what I remember, it costs over $1,000 to make the change. Someone who has done it can give you more exact figures.

Ask the dealer if he will give you a free lifetime warranty on the air suspension. You will have your answer regarding his definition of what, "no problems," is.

I had it on my 2003. 50,000 miles and no problems. I would not let it bother me.

75,000 miles on mine. Not a problem. LOVE IT!!!

The bags eventually Age and Dry rot. They cost about $125 each. They take about 20 minutes to replace.

The cost of switching to coils is somewhere just under $400. If you are planning on towing go with the air ride.
