Air Recirculation / Switch

1 Attachment(s)
Ok so something is wrong with my air recirculation the switch seems to work (the light turns on and off) but nothing changes anymoore. I used to hear the vent open and close along with a noticeble change in the air flow from the vents. Now it seems that what ever controls it is stuck open (outside air) or has broken in this position.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I did see the post on the blower fix, does that wiring harness control the recirculation also?
Any help would be great. I have a 2006 H3 120,000 + miles

Search HVAC Calibration Procedure

I agree with the above post

ok so I did the search and this is what i found,

"HVAC Calibration according to the book"

ign on, eng off
temp to the right
blower to the right
mode to the left
press and hold AC and Defrost untill leds start flashing
When leds stop flashing you are done

I tried this two times and you can hear/feel the HVAC system going through the different modes, but my recirculation still does not work. I think it must be a bad actuator or it is stuck open.

Does anyone know where that vent door/actuator is located? Or how I might fix it?
thanks

recirculation only works in certain modes, what i mean, is you have to have the air flow going out through the dash vents, not the lower or defrost vents.

Yes I am aware of that. I remember the day it stoped working. Its not that big of a deal since my heat and AC still work, but I would like to fix it. So if anyone actually knows how to fix it or at least where it is located (actuator and or vent/door) that would be really helpfull

Air circulation problem

Did your problem with the air circulation start when you had a dead battery ? If you did it is definitely electrical Which means you have to continue to try the reset process

I have this same issue, but when i try the calibration per the instructions above my light never turn on to start the calibration. And i hear nothing. This is also i think the same issue as the all HOT issue when turning on notch over from cold. From what i've read my Hummer is in emergency mode to provide heat but i can not change temp or direct where i want to send it

So........ you are asking a guy about H2s in an H3 section thread about what he posted 5.5 YEARS AGO?

Let us all bow our heads and let this OLD AZZED THREAD die a proper death!
