I have an 08 H3 and whenever I use my A/C, I can feel kind of a rattle when my foot's on the gas pedal. It loud enough to make a sound when the radio's off. I've only used the a/c a few times this year and it's done it every time. When I got home it sat for about 10 minutes and I went to work without using the a/c and the noise/rattle was gone. Any ideas what's going on? It's so hot but the rattle I can feel when my foot's on the gas pedal is almost worse than the heat.

 

Sounds like the squirrel cage (Fan blower) is out of balance somehow. It's a warranty issue.

 

Could that be a pulley being out of alignment?

 

Cool, I'll call the dealer. I was hoping it wasn't just a quirker thing I'd have to live with.

 

Like all things that spin the squirrel cage needs to be balanced. If it gets bent on installation or the shaft gets bent then it'll wobble and create vibration.
