Air Bag Suspension on cold days

I have an 04 H2 with airbags and the compressor. How often should it kick on during a normal week?

When it was warm, I rarely noticed it ever kicking on. But now that we have had a few 25 degree days, I notice it kicks on in the morning every 3rd day or so for about 30 seconds. Then it is done.

Normal? Or are my bags beginning to crap out? I love the ride height of my H2 and don't want to mess with it by changing to springs if I don't have to.

Anyone with experience with this in cold weather?

If your compressor runs every couple days for 30 seconds or so I don't see a problem. I know my runs often because my drive way is slopped and it's trying to level itself. My wife's Touareg runs often to level itself, most noticeable at traffic lights.

Last night I almost sh-t a brick I installed all new shocks and when I let it off the jack it didn't want to air up and the body was practically on the tires!! Then I noticed one of my doors was open, let me tell you I cursed GM for a good 5 minutes till I noticed it ;)

It is normal, my little Nissan has one of those low tire idiot lights and since it is getting colder the pressure drops in the tire, as i drive and the tire heats up the light goes off. The air hose running to the airbags is just a slip fit in o rings with metal fingers digging into the hose to hold it in place so it is designed to leak. They should have used ferrals with a nut to secure it to the airbags. You will be fine.
