aftermarket compressor
has anyone added an aftermarket compressor to their H2? i've got spring rear suspension, not air bags, so i've got an empty space where the compressor would be. i figure i can mount it there, but i'm wondering if there are models/brands i should stay away from, and what size air tank i can fit in there. i'll use it mainly to reinflate my tires, so it will have to have some 'nads to it. any suggestions are welcome.

RE: aftermarket compressor
i know a few guys who have "bagged" vehicles..what exactly do you need to know? i know that some companies are making some REALLY small compressors.

RE: aftermarket compressor
not looking for anything to keep airbags inflated, just something small that will reinflate my tires quickly. just wondering if anyone else has suggestions. i'd prefer to mount it permanently, i really don't want a portable, since i couldn't use that for a horn.

RE: aftermarket compressor
Are you planning to put in a horn?

RE: aftermarket compressor
yeah, i'd like to have an air horn. the main reason i want a compressor is for the tires, but my sportster horn is louder than the bus. i want to smell the fear and see the shaking of the people that cut me off. i'll add a separate button for it though, so i don't have to deal with a switch for the stock one and the alarm system. maybe a pull string along the top of the door frame, something to make the little kiddies in the car next to me happy.

Hey bus, see if this is something that tickles your fancy?http://www.lonewolfwhistle.com/Compressor.html It looks like it may be small enough to mount in that area.

RE: aftermarket compressor
hmm..for a small cheaper compressor, check with performance places like jegs...we got one for the track car.

RE: aftermarket compressor
that's the most common input i've received, that it's volume, not pressure, that makes them crack glass. thanks for the input.
