Active Fuel Management on H3 Alpha

A friend of mine told me that the Hummer H3 Alpha does not have a engine with the active fuel management.I bought my 08 H3 Alpha last may, and the sales guy that I bought the truck from said it did have it.What is the truth, yea or nea.Does it have AFM..

I'm not sure what he means by 'active fuel management'; could be a fancy term for all cars these days, where the ECU (or PCM) is constantly controlling the engine's parameters to try and achieve perfect air/fuel ratio under whatever condition, to achieve maximum fuel economy. Probably not, but knowing a salesman (never trust a salesguy for proper info, lol)...

Or, he's talking about DoD (Displacement on Demand), where the vehicle drops x amount of cylinders at highway cruising, etc...I don't think the Hummer has this, although it may be like the GTO (LS2) where the block has the bosses for it, but nothing else.

Its Displacement on Demand.Do the H3 Alphas have it, or any other hummer models..

No, it doesn't. Nor H2. Is available with same engine, 5.3 V8 on other GM trucks, like Saab 97X.
