Hey guys!

I've been scouring the net for over a month for an answer.

The DTC mentions a short or an open circuit related to the brake lamp switch;

So so far here is what I have done:
1) Replaced the brake lamp switch itself
2) Replaced the ebcm

I still get the DTC code even after clearing it w/ my obdII scan tool.

This is where it gets weird:
I checked all fuses (no fuses blown); The brakes work (the 2 rear lamps AND the upper 3rd)

**I checked the voltage coming through the brake lamp switch:
With the pedal released I get:
a) 7.5 volts on the white wire
b) 13.7 volts on orange wire
c) 13.6v on brown
d) 13.6v on purple
e) 13.5v on light green wire w/ tracer
f) 13.5v on teal wire w/ tracer.

The DTC clears only when the pedal is depressed (pushed in) b/c the voltage readings are regular.

Isn't one of the wires (I'm guessing the white wire) supposed to be absolute 0 with the brake pedal released???

How am I getting a voltage reading on that bad boy? What should I be looking for?

Thanks in advance for any guidance....I'm running out of ideas

Put a test light on A or inline w/ your voltage meter and see if that voltage is real.
