My 07 H3 has the 6 disc radio with XM, on the display with XM it shows the song title and artist. But on FM just the station
number. In my old GMauto FM also showed artist etc...
I have read the book and it seems that only XM will show this on these radios, is that right or amI missing something ?

 

it depends what information the individual radio station transmits. some send the artist/song info via RDS....some don't.

 

I am seeing the same thing, Xchief. And these are on Radio stations that I know transmit the info. My 2003 H2 radio showed the info, but my 2008 H3 does not. Like you say, only on the XM stations.

Apex is right. A lot of radio stations do not transmitt that data but XM and Sirius do. Some FM stations do provide it. Nothing wrong with your radio.

Has your H3 radio shown the song info on any regular FM station? Mine has not . . .and they are the same FM stations that displayed the info a month ago in my H2.

 

And I just thought this was mine......It does not show this either while a buddy of mine has an older GM truck (2000 I think) that the radio does show the artist and song name. I know the stations around my area do transmit the info.
