52500 miles and i think i have the head problem.
 

Hey everyone im new here posting but i have read alot and learned alot.

Today on the way from work the engine light came on and the car started to vibrate and ran realy rought

I did alot of reading but i didnt see anything on what to do if you are over warranty and you get the head problem
Will i get it done for free? Will they extend my warranty. This sucks i really needed my truck this week. I seen that people still drive theirs but they are carefull i dont want to mess up anything. If needed i can probably change the head. But if the dealer will do it then that saves me time, trouble and money.

Thanks in advance for any help i have been reading alot allready and i have to call the dealer tomorrow or the next day. I am allready pissed at them in orlando i was in their about 2 months ago for a sensor for abs, traction, and statybility control but they said they had to order it its been about 2 months. It cant take that long and i had a clunk noise if i was on the highway and i let off the gas and hit the gas. They said its normal.

I think thats the only thing holding my truck together.

I have had so many rental hummers its crazy. I read and read last night and still havent found anybody that had the problem after the warranty ran out. Please help........
The dealer has sent the post card for the survey but i havent filled it out because i have been waiting for them to call me to tell me the abs and traction lights sensor came in. Its been 2 months i could have had a engine by now. So can i get covered still and can i get my warranty extended. What should i do.

Also about that clunk noise that they tell me is normal. When i slow down to make a turn and then hit the gas it makes the loud noise and when i am on the highway doing about 65 and i let off the gas and press it it does it then also. Is that the differential problem.

As to the head issue. GM did extend the warranty on that problem for the original owners. They sent out a letter to everyone with an early 06 Vin # advising them of all the details. I do not recall specifics, but I think they will fix it up to 75K miles?

Take it to the dealer and see what is up.

that is really good to know. I am taking it tomorrow to the dealer. Today i started the truck and the engine light is still on but it ran fine. I took it around the block and it was good. Does it come and go? I never got a letter in the mail about this ever. But i will let you know what happens..

i took it yesterday and it drove fine the whole way but when i took the tech for a ride it vibrated so he felt it. The haven't gotten back to me yet but i think they are fixing it i will keep you posted. So i can stil call and get my warranty extended? I seen the contact info on the other post. They said they have done over 100 of them but never at such high mileage.
