305-70-16 air pressure?
just had some DICK CEPEK TC IIs put on the h3 the tire shop had the tires @ 40 psi i assume to pop the bead. i lowered them to 38psi but it still rides kinda hard. does anyone know the appropriate pressure or at least the minimum that will still allow the tires to wear even?

I run my MTZs at 40 on the pavement for a mileage boost. 38PSI cold should be fine, I would not run on the street any lower than that.

You'll want to keep the tires inflated properly not only for the fuel economy and wear, but the handling/safety if you need to swerve. |
305-70-16 air pressure?
got the same size tires as you on my h3 but MT AT running them at 24psi so as to get a good ride.
it all depends on each tires load range/load index/number of plys, normaly AT tires are built stronger than road tires so are much stiffer,on the mikey thompson site they recommend 70% of the max pressure indicated on the tire. i am probably using more gas this way but i live on a small island !!! |
does anyone have nitrogen in there tires?
