2009 H2 SUV - thinking of selling

We have a 2009 H2 SUV with ~141K miles on it.

Have done a lot of work on it in the past 3/4 years - including replacing the engine at 120K miles - have done everything to keep it in top condition and have spent over $23K on it in total since we bought it in 2017. Obviously wouldn't get a good price from a dealer (most would just take to auction) - but what is the best avenue to sell for a good price? Should I seek out specialty dealers, etc?

Bought it in Phoenix and had it shipped to CT where we live - has been garaged most of the time.

Will post some pictures as well but first just looking for some advice. Thanks.

Good clean 08/09 are hard to find and a premium, many H2 owner's are looking to replace their earlier H2's to an 08 or 09 so post up the details here, you might be surprised!

Well folks, This is a first for me, a Purple H2! Wow

As to what was the money spent on:

$11K (2021) was for the new engine - got a bad oil change and engine was F'd
$4500 (2024) radiator / water pump / tire sensor replacements / fix leaky sunroof as well as replacing some of the old door seals, etc (15 year old car)
$2600 (2024) this spring also - car had a couple of leaks - took them a while to find the leaks, and then we replaced the core electrical because we were having issues with it shorting
The rest is just normal stuff with an older car - power window issues / door lock issues / broken clips, etc - just replaced the alternator a couple of weeks ago. Car runs / drives great. Wife (her car) drives it every day.

It is a wrap - black underneath. But they did an amazing job. The wrap is nearly 6 years old. Still looks great.

It's a beautiful H2... but barny purple is gonna be a hard sell lol! I'd peel and sell as black. How much??

Will leave the peeling to the buyer - as I mentioned it is my wife's car - this is the way she likes it lol. No way she would peel it and then be stuck with it black if we can't get a good price for it.

Given all of the work I've done on it - and the fact that the engine is less than 3 years old with 20K miles on it - I have it listed for $40K on Autotrader but honestly have no idea what the right price is. Best I've been offered from a dealer is $15K (which I definitely won't take).

Way to rich for my blood! Good luck. It will be amazing if you get close to that. I'd be happy for you.
