More questions for everyone here.....

Whats the deal with these buttons, I am guessing they all control the sunroof in one way or another...or are they Homelink and sunroof all in one place? Also, did they move the Onstar microphone to the center of the headliner?

Along these notes, what does the homelink controller come with in the H3...meaning what package contains it or is it some kind of stand alone option.

And, any chance that the H3 shares sunvisors with any other GM truck that could offer the homelink visor and be had on ebay?

I have owned a 2006 and a 2008 H3 and neither had those buttons. My guess is that it is an aftermarket sunroof. The Onstar mic in the center makes a little sense if the passenger does most of the talking. Maybe someone moved it. The buttons could be homelink I suppose. I hope someone on the forum has a better idea than myself. A very interesting mystery nevertheless. Maybe the pictures aren't an H3 at all. Since I got into H3's I never look at any other vehicles so maybe another GM has a similar setup.

 

Well ebay says 2008 with luxury pkg, maybe it's a mid year change going to 09?

I reviewed the Ebay post. Everything looks accurate and normal except for the buttons, molding around the sunroof interior border and the Onstar Mic location. I am going with my initial thoughts and say the sunroof was added aftermarket. White is nice... I have a Victory Red but white would have been my 2nd choice or black maybe.

 

Yeah, white is my first choice, followed by boulder and victory.

The mystery of the roof continues......I sent them a message through ebay and will post if I get a response.

 

You were right! Aftermarket sunroof installed by Auto Options. Since the Hummer dealer had it installed, they say it is covered under the 3/36 warranty.

Looks pretty good, actually.

 

Good, You can learn a lot lurking around these forums. As long as it is warranted and doesn't leak you should be good to go.
