I'm aware of the security feature, but that's not the case here. My hummer cranks, but makes loud noise and doesn't stay cranked without me stepping on gas. I have my hummer with a mechanic now, and he's looking through all possibilities

Any update on what the problem was? Mine had a similar issue but I replaced the camshaft sensors/ vvt solenoid and changed the oil, after that the problem seemed to correct itself.

Ok so I has new motor installed, and still hummer isn't staying cranked. Can someone please assist me with this issue.
When I stick key in ignition, car turns on, cranks, spins over, but does not stay cranked unless I step on gas pedal.

 

Is your security light flashing, that was the issue with mine, the starter kill was engaged because of my remote start.

 

Not sure, what did you do to have it fixed? I have viper remote start on it. Remote start hasn't been working for quite sometime

 

Do you have a sunroof? If so, have you ever got the passenger side floor wet?

 

Yes I have a sunroof, and I don't believe I have gotten it wet. But if it has, what would happen? Would anything I described above happen?
