its not hard to clean at all. its alot easier if you take it off first. I cleaned mine while it was still attached, its just hard to get a good angle on it. Just get the solvent and a old toothbrush and start scrubbing.

 

Finally broke down and got the Hummer to the dealership. Thanks to USAA roadside assistance, the tow from the house to the dealership was free. My fuel pump theory way WAY off, silly me. It just so happens that the air filter on the truck when I bought it was the wrong filter. It apparently didn't have a good seal against the intake, allowing debris to bypass the filter and jam up the MAF sensor. They threw a new air filter and MAF sensor at 'er and ole Tanto is running better than she did before. Thankfully it was covered under the extended warranty.
