2007 hummer h3 tranny
I am having some issues with the automatic transmission on my 2007 H3. It isn;t shifting hard, no check engine light is on, and no slipping through the gears. It is taking longer to shift into 2nd from 1st when starting out. It will rev to 3800 rpms before shifting. It has 74000 miles on it and doesn;t seem to have had a transmission flush and filter change. Could this be the issue? Would it begin acting up from that? Also not sure if the air filter has been changed either. Could it be sucking for more air? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
You are jumping to an unfounded conclusion. You got the Trans hot, which burned your trans fluid. That does not mean you damaged internals, yet. You may have caught it early enough.
If it were me, I would change the filter and fluid, before installing the trans pan, put in a drain plug kit. Run the truck 50-100 miles and see what it is doing, then drain the pan and add more fresh fluid. All that is cheap, a lot cheaper than prematurely rebuilding a trans that may not need it.
Good luck.

I wouldn't buy the "Good Stuff" until I have done the drain and refill and made sure it's going to be okay.

I'm gonna be dropping pan and replacing filter. You mentioned "drain plug kit".
Do you mean the drill and bolt kind or take it somewhere and have it welded ?
Thank u....
