2007 H3 Engine Core for sale - 3.7L I5 - $1500 - Mississippi

I have a 2007 Hummer H3 Engine 3.7L that I pulled out of my vehicle to swap out for a rebuilt engine.

This engine had 125k miles on it when I bought the vehicle, and it now has just under 150K. I have only ever run full synthetic oil in it, and it burned about a quart of oil every 1000-1500 miles using 5W-30.

Engine does not include:

1. Flywheel/Torque Converter
2. Intake Manifold/TB/Fuel Rail
3. Exhaust Manifold
4. VVT Solenoid
5. Exhaust Camshaft Sensor
6. Power Steering Pump/Reservoir
7. A/C Compressor
8. Oil Dipstick Tube
9. Knock Sensor
10. Purge Valve

Basically, it is bare engine, and does not include any electronics/accessories since I had to put them back in my vehicle.

Compression Wise - All cylinders had approximately 30-35% leakage at the intake valves (the ultimate reason I decided to pull it/swap in a rebuilt engine). While this is a pretty significant amount of leakage, the car actually did not throw any check engine light codes and the engine ran perfectly fine whenever I pulled it. Fuel mileage was not adversely affected by this either, as after swapping to my new engine there was very little increase in fuel economy (~1 mpg), which I suspect is because this engine was leaking at the intake valves, and the "leaked" air fuel mixture would simply return to the intake manifold, only to be burned off later. I was able to achieve ~16 mpg on the highway with this engine, and after switching to the new engine, I'm getting about ~17 mpg with 33" tires. Because of the leakage, there was a slight decrease in the engine's overall power level, but I was still (for the most part) able to maintain a comfortable 60-65 mph on the highway (again with 33" tires).

There was no leakage at the exhaust valves, or the head gasket, and only a very small amount of leakage from the pistons rings (hence the small level of oil consumption).

Short Term Fuel Trim (STFT) was generally +/- 5% when operating this engine, and Long Term Fuel Trim (LTFT) was generally +/- 3%.

Asking $1500; offers welcomed.

Located in Meridian Mississippi; if you're located in either Mississippi, or (western) Alabama, I am happy to meet you half way or deliver the engine to you for an extra charge. Otherwise, I can look into shipping options and get you a quote that way.

I'll have pictures posted here shortly; if you have any questions, don't hesitate to DM me.

Have a great evening!
