I just came home from the dealer and the H 3 is there. Has a little over 30,000 miles and I went in to have a new key and remote entry fob made. The dealer said the engine light came on when it was in the bay and it coded a bad cylinder. It was running fine all the way to the dealer! They say GM has authorized a new cylinder head for this vehicle. Have others of you had this problem or is this a makework scam by the dealer? The light never came on for me in the past 30,000 miles!

 

I think it was a big problem for the 06's and some of the early 07's. Hey look at it this way its free and its better that it happened now than when your out of warrenty. Doesnt sound like a scam as its going to cost you nothing

 

I had the head replaced on my '07 at around 35,000 miles.

 

It sounds like the dealer is looking after you.
