Default 2006 Hummer h3 a passenger side heater switch light ball not functioning

My girlfriend recently purchased a 2006 white Hummer h3 fully loaded.
It is now been say a week and a half and we have noticed that the passenger side heater switch light ball does not light although the seat does heat both in low and hi positions. Yes I realize you have to have the belt locked and have to have your asz in the seat but other than that why is the bulb out?
Has anyone ever bother trying to repair the light bulb in the switch ? Is it even possible? if not what would you then recommend? Aftermarket?
Chris

Ours is the same way. It has been since we bought it. The heat works but the light doesn't. Honestly, I've forgotten about it. I would imagine that you have to replace the whole switch. It's not a hard diy job, and if you need assistance I can or anyone else here can guide you along. Here is the part from GM parts direct. It's the cheapest one I've found. They usually run about 130 dollars. GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts
